About the Yurt

The Yurt originates from Mongolia and is traditionally lived in by Nomadic tribes. They are beautifully handcrafted from sustainable timber with strong canvas walls, created in a dome shape with substantial standing room inside. There are two windows and a wooden door that can be locked.

The Yurt is situated on a wooden deck, the floor covered with carpet and rugs, to give a cosy feel to your accommodation.

There is a circular clear portal in the centre called a 'Tono' to ensure plenty of light by day and on a clear night a wonderful view to the galaxy of stars above - something which is rather special in this part of the country, due to very low pollution levels and no nearby artificial lighting.

In the evening the Yurt is lit by solar lamps and wind up lanterns.

Outside the Yurt there is a picnic bench with seating, gas barbecue with tongs and basting brush.

Basic washing up facilities are provided with water available within a few yards.
