Coarse fishing is FREE to guests staying in the Yurt.

We have two coarse fishing lakes - Admiral Lake and Ponder Lake. Each lake extends to over an acre, nestled within the grounds, surrounded by an abundance of wildlife.

To fish the lakes you require an Environment Agency Licence, knowledge of fishing and correct fishing equipment. We do not allow 'have a go' fishermen, thereby safeguarding the health and safety of the fish.

Both lakes are well-stocked with various species. Mirror, Common and Ghost Carp to upper doubles. Roach and Rudd of good sizes can also be caught with the correct bait.

Fishing is from Dawn until Dusk - no night fishing.

General Rules

1. No dogs. No Radios. All litter to be put in bins provided or taken home. 2. Mobile phones are permitted only away from the lake areas so as to respect other anglers. 3. All visitors enter at their own risk. No liability attaches to the management for any damage, loss or injury to persons or property. 4. No responsibility is taken by the management for any circumstances affecting the fishing or the lakes which is beyond their control. 5. Environment Agency Licences are required. 6. Payment for a permit is considered acknowledgement of these rules. 7. Any person in breach may be asked to leave the premises. 8. Persons the age of 15 or under must be accompanied by an adult.
